Birthdays, Box Sets & New Boots #LittleLoves

This week I’m joining in with #LittleLoves for the first time. #LittleLoves is run by Coffee Work Sleep Repeat – it’s a great way to look back on the week and remember the little things – I’m trying to think more positively these days so this is a great way to do just that!

Read.

I spent a lot of my ‘me time’ reading posts by other bloggers – ‘This Year, I Love Me’ by Dilan And Me really resonated with me this week – head over and check out her other beautiful posts.

Watched.

Sky very kindly gave me 3 months of free box sets for Christmas so I’ve been snuggling up with a blanket and watching old episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and Gavin & Stacey – guilty pleasures!

Heard.

If I’m honest – the phrase I’ve heard the most the last few days is ‘poo head’. Theo’s new favorite nickname for me. I don’t know where he got it from or when he’ll stop saying it but it’s so hard not to giggle when he’s being cheeky!

Made.

Nothing beats homemade popcorn does it? Fresh and warm and none of the nasty stuff you get in shop bought versions. I’ve been making homemade popcorn topped with peanut butter and a little brown sugar for an indulgent but reasonably healthy treat.

Wore.

I turned 24 on Thursday and received money from my mum – so I treated myself to a new coat, scarf and boots. I don’t spend on myself very often so it made a change to be shopping for me. I absolutely love my boots – perfect for keeping my feet warm in this chilly weather.

And lastly.

As mentioned above, it was my birthday on Thursday. I’m not really fussed about celebrating these days but I had a lovely day with my dearest friend who made me a fab ‘cake’ made up of profiteroles and creme eggs – amazing!

Happy Birthday for Thursday Chloe, that birthday cake looked awesome! (past tense, I suspect it no longer exists?) I’m spending a bit more time than usual on social media and catching up on blogs and I’m so chuffed I did, this linky is genius. Like you I am trying (and I think succeeding) to be more positive. January is a completely pants month and you can count February in that last statement too. No sunshine, grey, dark morning and dark nights and not even proper snow like we used to get in the good ole days…snow brightens everything up 🙁 p.s. love the boots x

Happy Birthday to you! I love Creme Eggs, that cake looks amazing (although I’m not a huge fan of profiteroles). It’s always nice to spend some money on yourself, you deserve it. Love the boots! Enjoy your weekend xx
