5 Years Of Capturing Memories.

I’m that Mum. The one who tends to always have her phone in her hand, the one who has pictures hung wherever she possibly can around the house. The Mum whose kids have perfected the ‘cheese!’.

I have hundreds of photos of my children, from the minute they were both born I’ve taken photos of them. I’ve captured first smiles, first steps, activities, days out, even meal’s they have enjoyed! People often comment that my phone is an extension of my arm, but without my phone the moments that pass me by in the blink of an eye could not be captured.

I’ve been capturing memories for over five years, and I don’t plan on stopping.

So don’t complain children when I take 10 photos of our trip to the park, or accidentally wake you with the camera flash when you’re looking particularly adorable whilst sleeping. One day you’ll have your own children, and you’ll be able to show them all the happy times we had, you’ll giggle at the bath time photo’s and cringe at the video of you in your school play.

To the people who think I should ‘just put it down’. My children are beautiful, clever human beings who make me laugh every single day (I know I’m biased),  why wouldn’t I want to capture all the fun we have? Mia in particular loves looking at photos of herself as a baby, even at age five she appreciates how precious it is to look back on the past.

We are so lucky that technology has become so advanced that we can carry a little device in our pockets that provides us with the tools to cherish memories.

Do you take lots of photos of your children? Do you love looking through them? Comment below!

I take so many pictures of the girls, I want to capture it all in time, freeze frame it to remember and relive. I don’t think you can ever take too many pictures but you can take not enough… #sharingthebloglove

I’m exactly the same. My iPhone is constantly telling me I’m running out of iCloud space though. I’ve taken to capturing videos on my actual camera. One thing I must get better at though is printing them out. I’d love to do a scrapbook of their lives so far as I used to love going through stuff like that when I was little. Otherwise they’ll just not know where to start when they inherit my phone one day! #sharingthebloglove

I’m a huge photo taker, I love capturing memories and my son loves looking back at all the photos of us all. Just like I love looking back at all the photos of my childhood – my mum is a big photo taker too and has albums for every year of our lives. Sure, there are moments now when my son shouts at me “No cheese mummy!”, but he loves looking back at the photos later. I love that it’s so easy to take good photos these days – you can just whip out your phone in a couple of seconds and not miss the moment. Thanks for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
