An Open Letter To My Son’s Pre-school Caregivers.

This evening I cuddled up with my precious boy as he drifted off to sleep.

I took in his little button nose and gorgeous blonde hair as he shut his eyes and put his arms around my neck and I wondered where time has gone.

In September he’s off to infants school, it doesn’t seem possible!

He’s been to three nurseries from the age of 2. Two of which have been phenomenal, and the staff truly wonderful. They have contributed to his childhood. They’ve supported me when I needed it and given him memories that will last a lifetime.

Some nights he can be a handful, a tired, grumpy handful but it’s okay, because he spent the day laughing and playing and being shown so much love.

These women have gone above and beyond to keep him safe.

They purchase safe food for him at no extra cost to me. His extensive diet is not a problem for them, he is no different to the other children.

Rosie, Jane, Jan, Vicky and Mel.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love, your care and your patience.

Thank you for making my baby laugh and smile every single day and thank you for helping to shape him into the lovely little boy he has become.

On Friday he will no longer be a pre-school child. He’ll be a school boy. I know that when I pick him up for the last time, I will cry. I’ll cry because my baby is all grown up and Ill cry because it’s the end of an era.

It’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon.

Thank you for everything.

It is the end of an era and you will cry but how lucky you got people you could trust to look after him and think of all the new adventures ahead

I’m with you. My eldest is leaving nursery at the end of August and I’m secretly so relieved that my little boy will still be there. I know that she is ready to move on, but I don’t think that I am! Her nursery teachers have been the first people that have cared for her aside from her family and they have done such a wonderful job. It’s so emotional saying goodbye to that era isn’t it. Sending hugs and good luck for big school lovely. Thanks for linking to #DreamTeam x
