It’s been a pretty hectic week as it’s half term here – which has meant no early alarms, no rushing out of the door, but lot’s of activity! This is my fifth #LittleLoves post and I’m already enjoying looking back on previous posts at the little perks of each week that has passed.
I’ve started reading Fearne Cotton’s ‘Happy’ this week – it’s all about finding joy in every day and letting go of perfect with lot’s of self-help advice and personal experience of mental health problems from Fearne herself. It’s a really beautiful book.
On Valentine’s Day myself and my mum took the children to the local cinema to see ‘Sing’ – we all loved it, me so much that I wrote a post all about it, see here. If you haven’t seen it yet I’d highly recommend it.
As it’s half term I’ve heard a lot of the word ‘Mummy’ this week… and Trolls came out on DVD on Monday so Mia has rediscovered her love for ‘Can’t stop the feeling’ by Justin Timberlake. Adorable but slightly annoying when it’s stuck in your head!
I made a delicious allergy friendly banana bundt cake at the weekend which was devoured within 24 hours! The recipe can be found here – it’s been so popular!
I’ve stuck to my usual mummy uniform of leggings and comfy tops but Mia has taken full advantage of not being at school by wearing princess dresses day in day out! There is glitter everywhere!
There’s nothing like a trip to the soft play to tire them out is there? On Wednesday I let the kid’s free for 2 hours at our local soft play and I actually got to drink my cup of tea whilst it was hot – glorious.
Come back next week for my sixth #LittleLoves post – which will hopefully be a little calmer as the kid’s go back to school!
