Trashy Magazines, Bumped Noggins & Yummy Risotto #LittleLoves 20/01/2017

It’s time for my second #LittleLoves post – this week hasn’t been particularly exciting but it’s still important to look back and find the positives! #LittleLoves is run by Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.

I used to always get myself at least one magazine a week to take some time out with a cuppa and read – I haven’t done it for a very long time but this week I did! My tea, magazine and birthday chocolate was thoroughly enjoyed.

This week I’ve been catching up on the soaps – I had missed over a week of Hollyoak’s and Neighbours (sad I know – but they are my guilty pleasure!) and it felt good to delete them from the planner.

Mia’s at the age where she is starting to enjoy listening to music, sometimes it feels like I’m living with a teenager! Her favorite song at the minute is ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ by Justin Timberlake. It’s constantly on and her tone-deaf singing really does make me smile.

I’ve got out of the habit of cooking proper from scratch meals lately and I’m trying really hard to get back to it. This week me and the children had mushroom risotto – I love cooking risotto as it is so quick and easy. You can find the recipe for my vegetable risotto here.

In last week’s #LittleLoves I mentioned that I’d bought a new coat with my birthday money. I’ve barely taken it off – it is keeping me super cosy in the chilly weather. There’s nothing quite like a good coat.

And lastly…

We have a little man in the wars this week after taking a tumble head first whilst picking up his big sister from school – there were lots of tears but after hugs and a lollipop from Grandma he felt much better.

I love sitting down with a good magazine, although I don’t do it often enough. Enjoy your weekend xx

My girls sing that song ALL THE TIME too! The Trolls soundtrack is on a lot in our house. xx

I think this is a great idea, we (I) tend to remember the negative things but its a healthy reminder if all the good things that have happened each week. Live the war wound photo…we have a catalogue of Lewis’….bit like that scene in Jaws!!! 😉

A comment is always appreciated!
