Siblings May 2017.

Well this month has been interesting with these two! They’ve both had phases of being complete angels for me but then when the going is good they wake up on the wrong side of the bed and have me pulling out my hair before 9am again!

Mia is now six, SIX, where have those years gone?! She is fiercely independent, so much so that it drives me slightly insane sometimes. Her reading, writing and speech get better and better by the day, a few weeks back she told me what I’d just done was ‘completely unnecessary’ – I mean seriously?! She’s put up with a lot of flack from Theo lately which is hard for me to tolerate so I can only imagine how difficult she finds him sometimes, as always though she never shouts back – she has the patience of a saint.

Just last week Theo celebrated his 4th birthday – I wrote an open letter to both him and his big sis which I read to them both and they loved! He has taken to ‘fourdom’ like a duck to water – he thinks and acts more like a little boy than a toddler now. We got confirmation of which school he’ll be attending in September a few weeks ago and it really hit home that soon he won’t be my ‘baby’ anymore.

Check back next month for June’s sibling update – written for The Siblings Project created and run by Dear Beautiful Boy.

What a wonderfully grown up phrase from your daughter, I love it! Good luck with Theo starting school x
