Siblings – March 2017.

siblings project

I’ve been a fan from afar of Dear Beautiful’s ‘The Siblings Project’ for quite a while now, I wholeheartedly agree with Lucy’s comments regarding the beauty of sharing your childhood with someone who shares the same DNA. I myself grew up with a brother only slightly younger than me, and my own children have followed the same pattern – Theo is just over 2 years younger than Mia and I think the age gap is just perfect, they are best friends.

This month Theo has really found his voice – especially against his sister. The day’s of being dressed up like a princess are over, and Mia has had a hard time accepting it! I’m loving watching their relationship evolve as they grow – of course, they bicker and battle but at the end of the day, it’s all kisses and cuddle’s again.

One thing I’ve found really sweet is Theo’s sudden insistence on giving Mia a kiss and a cuddle before she goes into school – he becomes really upset if she runs off without saying goodbye. Sometimes I wonder whether he sits at nursery thinking about his big sis and looking forward to seeing her again at the end of the day.

Keep your eyes peeled for my April sibling’s post!

They are so adorable with their cute little umbrellas. I love it. I bet they have so much fun being so close in age together. #siblingsproject
