My darling boy, it’s been quite the ride hasn’t it?
Your such a complex and spirited child. A child who, in the last six months, has changed completely.
Your confidence amazes me, your speech has become so clear and your grammar is spectacular. Your mannerisms make me smile every single day. I love the way you chuckle at the simplest of things and the compassion you show others, your one of a kind.
It’s not been an easy four years, in fact, it’s been the hardest four years of my life. I’ve held you close whilst your body has fought against anaphylaxis more times than I care to think about, I’ve fought for you endlessly and I always will.
In just four months you’ll start big school, you’ll be in the care of others 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I’m petrified, but I won’t let it show. I just know you’ll charm everyone you meet.
How is it your fourth birthday already? The years have flown by and I just wish time would stop still, just for a moment. I can’t wait to discover more about you as you become less of a toddler and more a young child.
Thank you, for being you. For making me smile endlessly and always making me giggle with a funny face or phrase. Your such a little comedian, so quick witted and sharp.
Keep smiling, my brave little man.
Happy birthday darling.
