Tickle Fingers Toddler Cookbook Review – Kids In The Kitchen.

I adore how cookbooks have evolved over recent years.

They are no longer are they aimed at adults only and filled with complicated ingredients and extravagant recipes. Instead, we have seen a rise in child friendly cookbooks, filled with delicious but basic recipes which are perfect for young taste buds.

If your children are anything like mine then they must love getting involved in the kitchen. Whether it’s stirring, slicing or topping, children love taking part and watching their creations bubble and rise.

Recently I kicked off a new blog series, kids in the kitchen, with my honey and peach muffin recipe. Today I bring you another kids in the kitchen post, this time in the form of a review! We’ve been making recipes from the Tickle Fingers Toddler Cookbook for a few months now and both myself and the children love it.

Written by the very talented Annabel Woolmer, the Tickle Fingers Toddler Cookbook provides exactly what it says on the cover, hands on fun in the kitchen for 1 to 4’s.

What I love most about this cookbook is how realistic it is. There’s no tricky techniques to learn or long-winded recipes that leave children bored by step 3. Instead there is fun and easy, but super tasty recipes that excite young minds and keep a parent’s patience in tact!

Fellow allergy parents will be pleased to know that the Tickle Fingers Toddler Cookbook also includes allergy info for every recipe in a simple chart towards the back of the book.

Most recipes do require a little adult preparation so to avoid little hands touching raw ingredients such as egg. Other than that, little ones can pour and mix and scoop to their heart’s content.

The Tickle Fingers Toddler Cookbook is split into sections ranging from easy peasy to confident chef, there really is something for everyone!

Imagine the sense of achievement your child will feel when they make their first confident chef recipe. The recipes in this section are Mia’s favourites. She is always so very proud of herself when we tuck into what she has made.

Looking for practical Christmas gifts for your little one? Grab a copy of this brilliant cookbook and build your child’s confidence in the kitchen.

The Tickle Fingers Toddler Cookbook is currently available for £10 over on the Tickle Fingers online shop.
